मौलाना आज़ाद कला, विज्ञान एवं वाणिज्य महाविद्यालय, छत्रपति संभाजीनगर के हिंदी विभाग की ओर से हिंदी दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में अतिथि व्याख्यान का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में अतिथि व्याख्याता के रूप में डॉ. संतोष तांदळे उपस्थित रहे, जबकि कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता महाविद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य डॉ. मकदूम फारुकी ने की। अपने व्याख्यान में डॉ. संतोष तांदळे ने हिंदी भाषा के महत्व, वर्तमान समय में हिंदी की उपयोगिता तथा विद्यार्थियों के शैक्षणिक एवं व्यावसायिक जीवन में हिंदी की भूमिका पर महत्वपूर्ण विचार प्रस्तुत किए। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से हिंदी भाषा के अध्ययन के साथ-साथ उसके व्यावहारिक प्रयोग को बढ़ावा देने का आह्वान किया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता करते हुए प्रधानाचार्य डॉ. मकदूम फारुकी ने हिंदी दिवस की शुभकामनाएँ देते हुए कहा कि हिंदी केवल अभिव्यक्ति का माध्यम नहीं, तो हिंदी रोजगार का साधन भी है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को हिंदी के प्रति रुचि विकसित करने, उसके अधिक से अधिक व्यवहारिक प्रयोग तथा साहित्यिक संसार से जुड़ने का संदेश दिया। कार्यक्रम में महाविद्यालय के प्राध्यापकगण एवं विद्यार्थी बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थित रहे। हिंदी विभाग की ओर से कार्यक्रम का सफल आयोजन किया गया।

Under the motivational guidance of Principal Capt. Dr. Maqdoom Farooqui Sir, the Women Development Cell (WDC), Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science and Commerce, organized an informative programme on Women’s Health Care on 12th September 2026 The programme featured two eminent guest speakers. Dr. Bushra Seemi delivered an informative and insightful lecture on “Screening and Prevention of Cervical Cancer,” Dr. Gayatri Dongaonkar enlightened the participants on PCOD/PCOS, both doctors discussed its symptoms, causes, health implications, and the importance of timely care and a healthy lifestyle. The sessions were highly interactive, with an engaging question-and-answer session in which girl students and female staff members actively participated and gained valuable insights into women’s health and well-being. IQAC Coordinator Prof. J. D. Shaikh and Vice Principal Prof. Arif Pathan graced the programme with their presence. The programme was moderated by Prof. Afroz Fatema, Prof. ShaikhTarannum Tanveer introduced the guests, Prof. Syed Ummul Khair Asema spoke about the functioning of Women development cell while Ms. Mehvish Fatema proposed the vote of thanks. The WDC committee members—Dr. Shazia Mirza, Ms. Naseema Kausar, and Ms. Mohd. Afshaan—made dedicated efforts and contributed significantly to the successful organization of the programme.

मौलाना आझाद महाविद्यालयात रानभाजी प्रदर्शन छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, दि.२७ ऑगस्ट २०२६ : मौलाना आझाद कला, विज्ञान व वाणिज्य महाविद्यालयाच्या वनस्पतिशास्त्र विभागाच्या वतीने विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये स्थानिक वनस्पती, जैवविविधता आणि पारंपरिक खाद्यसंस्कृतीविषयी जागरूकता निर्माण करण्याच्या उद्देशाने रानभाजी प्रदर्शनाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. या प्रदर्शनात परिसरात आढळणाऱ्या १२ विविध रानभाज्यांचे प्रदर्शन करण्यात आले. या माध्यमातून पावसाळ्यात नैसर्गिकरीत्या उगवणाऱ्या रानभाज्यांची ओळख, त्यांचे वनस्पतिशास्त्रीय महत्त्व, भाजीसाठी वापरला जाणारा भाग तसेच स्थानिक आहारातील त्यांचे महत्त्व विद्यार्थ्यांना समजावून देण्यात आले. रानभाज्या या स्थानिक जैवविविधतेचा महत्त्वपूर्ण भाग असून, ग्रामीण व पारंपरिक खाद्यसंस्कृतीत त्यांचे विशेष स्थान आहे. बदलत्या जीवनशैलीमुळे लुप्त होत चाललेले पारंपरिक वनस्पतीज्ञान जतन करण्याच्या दृष्टीने अशा प्रदर्शनांचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित करण्यात आले. या कार्यक्रमास महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ. मजहर अहमद फारूकी, उपप्राचार्य डॉ. आरेफ पठाण, आय क्यू ए सी कॉर्डिनेटर डॉ . जे.डी.शेख, वनस्पतिशास्त्र विभागप्रमुख डॉ. अश्फाक खान, समन्वयक डॉ. हर्षदीप बी. सरतापे, श्री. सावता तिडके, शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी जलील पिरखा पठाण, तसेच महाविद्यालयातील इतर प्राध्यापक व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी आणि विद्यार्थी उपस्थित होते. प्रदर्शनास उपस्थित मान्यवरांनी उपक्रमाचे कौतुक करून विद्यार्थ्यांनी स्थानिक जैवविविधतेचा अभ्यास करून पारंपरिक ज्ञानाचे संवर्धन करण्याची गरज व्यक्त केली. कार्यक्रमाच्या माध्यमातून “स्थानिक वनस्पती ओळखा, पारंपरिक ज्ञान जपा आणि जैवविविधतेचे संवर्धन करा” हा संदेश देण्यात आला.

WASTE TO WORTH | *Small Contribution, Big Impact ?? As part of the ESG theme 2026–27, the Department of Commerce & Management Science undertook an initiative Waste to Worth—where 25+ students creatively repurposed 150+ plastic bottles and 200+ bottle caps into trash cans and artwork. The students’ efforts were appreciated and recognised in the presence of the Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui, IQAC Coordinator Dr. J. D. Shaikh, Head of the Department and faculty members. Addressing the gathering Principal Dr. Farooqui said that this student-led initiative turning waste into value shall inspire many to make responsible choices in life. He reiterated the college’s commitment to environmental protection, highlighting its consistent recognition as a Green Champion and its continued efforts towards sustainability. This initiative was undertaken as part of the celebrations marking the 80th Independence Day of India reminding us that responsible citizenship begins with small actions. *Cleaner India - Greener

Student Induction Programme: 27.8.2026 An Induction Programme was organized at Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science & Commerce to acquaint newly admitted students with the various academic, administrative, co-curricular and student-support facilities available at the college. The programme commenced with a Qeerat by Dr. Harshdeep Sartape. Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui welcomed the students and briefed them about the high academic standards nurtured by the founders of the college Late Dr. Rafiq Zakaria and Padmashree Madam Fatma Zakaria. He also encouraged the students to make the most of the opportunities provided by the institution and to actively participate in academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Arif Pathan was also present on the occasion. A total of 174 students participated in the programme. As part of the programme, Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmad Farooqui felicitated Ms. Aleena Muskan Shaikh for securing the highest marks in B.A. Psychology at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The programme included a series of informative sessions covering various aspects of student life and academic development. Dr. J. D. Shaikh delivered a session on IQAC, while Dr. Ashfaque Khan provided information regarding Examination-related activities and procedures. Dr. Aparna Saraf addressed students on Skill Courses, and Dr. Quazi Naweed explained the role and functioning of Statutory Cells. Further sessions focused on Career Counselling by Dr. Mohammad Mukhtar, Scholarships by Ms. Mahejabeen Nisar Sayyed, and Eco-consciousness by Dr. U. K. Asema. Dr. Shaikh Sadikali provided information on Cultural Activities, E-Learning and Avishkar, while Dr. Shaikh Musak Rajjak briefed students about NSS and NCC activities. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Shahela Yasmeen. The program was moderated by Dr. Shaikh Tarannum and Dr. Mujtaba Quadri. The induction programme proved to be a meaningful and enriching beginning to the students’ journey at the institution. Overall, it encouraged students to take ownership of their learning, develop essential skills and approach their academic journey with confidence and curiosity.
