According to critics and experts, the Urdu language flourished throughout India, particularly in Aurangabad. It was the official language of the Deccan during the reign of Behmani Sultanate and later under Asif Jahan, who made Urdu the official language. Urdu is known as the mass communication language. Urdu played an essential and vital role in India’s freedom fight, with many notable songs and poems produced in the language. It was the most extensively used language due to its poetry, diction and clarity. Legends such as Mir, Ghalib and Iqbal used Urdu as their means of expression.
