Highlights of Department of Mathematics:

  • The department of mathematics was established in the year 1963when the college was started.
  • The department is teaching mathematics along with other science subjects like physics, chemistry, electronics, computer science and industrial chemistry in UG level.
  • The department has good infrastructural facilities with a highly qualified and motivated faculty members.
  • The department of mathematics has successfully introduced a PG programme (M. Sc in mathematics) in 2001.
  • Recently in 2021, the department of mathematics has recognised as a research centre in mathematics by the parent university.
  • Department of mathematics is guiding 07 research students for ph. D degree.
  • It was successful in guiding 02 research students for Ph. D degree in mathematics under the guide ship of Dr. Shaikh Sadikali.
  • The department has to its credit a number of rank holders in the subject mathematics in the university examinations and also CSIR/ NET qualified scholars.
  • Department is offering facility of departmental library and e-content through smart tabs.
  • Every year the department celebrates birth anniversary of the great Indian mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan to honour his contribution in the mathematics.
  • The department students proved their organising ability, mathematical skills during different activities organised on 22nd December
  • The department of mathematics encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities like seminar competition of Marathwada Mathematical Society, NSS, NCC
  • This department is always helping in mathematics to the other subject students by arranging interdisciplinary lectures.
  • Department is always motivating students for appearing competitive exams
  • The department is frequently arranging guest lectures on recent and application oriented mathematics.
