Buldhana on 8th Feb 2024. Ishved Biotech is one of the largest plant tissue culture unit of international standards in Maharashtra engaged in mass production of tissue culture plants belonging to horticulture, Floriculture, Ornamentals, Forest/Timber and Medicinal plants with annual production capacity of 30 Million saplings. The industry being handled by 300+ experienced ladies staff. Ishved Biotech PTC unit is certified by Dept of Biotechnology (DBT) Govt. Of India for quality production of tissue culture planting material with world class genetics. Students visited Plant tissue culture lab starting from callus formation to hardening process in poly houses, followed by doubt clearing session engaged by the GM of company Ms. Dhanshree Mungekar.The college appreciation letters and vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Amena Farooqui. NSS unit of Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science and Commerce Aurangabad participated in Tree Plantation programme in Association with Govt.Forest Dept Aurangabad at Kham River near Ovhar and Jatwada under Conservation of River programme on 16 Oct 2024. More than 200 Tree plantation was successfully completed under the guidance of Principal Dr.Mazhar Ahmed Farooqui. On this occasion Mr Shivaji Chavan RFO,Mr.Vaishnav Saheb ,Sarpanch,Dr.J.D.Shaikh NSS PO, Villagers, 15 Volunteers were also present.

Under the guidance of respected Principal Dr.Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui Sir, The Dept. of Biotechnology had organized guest lecture on "Awareness and Schemes of Startup Programs." Mr.Vaibhav Khairnar, AIC, BAMU Foundation, was the speaker and resource person for the same. Emphasis was paid on how to acquire Government facilities for start ups. Students were made aware of the procedure to enroll at Incubation centre at BAMU and get the opportunity to transform their ideas into reality. Focus was also given on schemes related to women entrepreneurs. This year the theme of the program was an explorative way in mathematics, for this event the resource persons Dr A V Sonvane, Assistant professor, Government Arts, Science College Aurangabad and Dr Ganesh Rokade, Assistant professor, JES college Jalna has elaborated various free softwares, new teaching techniques, advanced pedagogy in Mathematics. 60 participants have benefited in which students, school and College teachers have actively participated in the workshop. The International Conference "Arts & Literature in Holy Scriptures of Hinduism and Islam" abd a Exhibition of Calligraphy was successfully inaugurated yesterday. Six professors from Iran presented paper physically while 5 from Iran presented online, total 21 papers presented. The event was graced by Dr. Fariduddin Farid Asr (Cultural counselor, embassy of I R airanNew Delhi) as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. Mohammad Raza Fazel (Director, Iran Cultural House, Mumbai). Department of History of Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science and Commer and City Branch of All India Payam-e-Insaniyat Forum organised a guest lecture on ' Interfaith Harmony in Inidan History" former IIT Bombay professor Ram Puniyani spoke on the history of communal harmony in India. Guest Lecture on Civil Services Examination Guidance by Mr. Ravindra Jogdand Aurangabad, February 4, 2025: A highly informative guest lecture on Civil Services Examination Guidance was held today at Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Aurangabad, organized by the Department of Arts. On 30th January 2025, under the directives of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, and based on the letter from the Joint Director of Higher Education, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a Selfie Booth was set up at Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science, and Commerce. This initiative was undertaken as part of the Women Development Committee (WDC) of the college to spread awareness about women's safety and empowerment and schemes for women under Ministry of women and child development. The event took place on 30th January 2025 at 11:30 AM in the college premises, in the presence of IQAC coordinator Dr. Aditi Bhattacharya, Incharge of WDC Dr. Ummul Khair Asema and the committee members. A three-day skill development training program was held at Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science, and Commerce from February 10th to 12th, 2025, organized by the Career Counselling and Guidance Cell in partnership with the Magic Bus Foundation, Pune. Salim Ali Club Conducted Bird Watching and Bird Identification ( Using Bird Acoustics) In Association with Environmental Research Foundation and Education Academy on 17 February 2025 at 8.00 to 9.00 AM at College Campus. Aims 1. Promote Bird Conservation: Raise awareness about the importance of bird conservation and individual roles in protecting bird populations. 2. Foster Environmental Awareness: Educate students about the interconnectedness of bird populations, habitats, and sustainable environmental practices. Objectives 1. Identify Bird Species: Use bird acoustic techniques to identify and record bird species present in the college campus. 2. Develop Bird Watching Skills: Equip students with skills and knowledge to observe and identify birds using binoculars and birding apps. 3. It will be conducted in hybrid mode, featuring demonstrations (offline) followed by an e-quiz. Participants will receive certificates upon completion.The first session of the program was inaugurated by Prof C.J.Haiware, former head Department of Zoology, Dr.B.A.M.U. Maulana Azad College Excels at Infosys Pune's Student Development Program (SDP-2025) Under the visionary guidance of Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui, the Department of BCA-BCS at Maulana Azad College successfully participated in the prestigious 1-Day Student Development Program (SDP-2025) at Infosys Pune on February 22, 2025. This esteemed event witnessed the participation of around 700 students from across Maharashtra, with only 15 colleges selected for the SDP. We take immense pride in being the sole representative from the Marathwada Region, with 40 students and 5 faculty members attending the program. The SDP encompassed an in-depth study of Infosys, followed by an interactive session with senior managers. The students received valuable guidance on placement opportunities within Infosys and were assured of future assistance in securing placements. The success of this visit was made possible under the diligent monitoring of Dr. Syed Abeduddin (HOD) and the tireless efforts of Mrs. Ruheena Quadri, Mr. Khan Naim, Mr. Khan Ansar, and Mr. Irfan Khan.

The Department of Commerce & Management Science organized an industrial visit to Karamayogi Ankushrao Tope Samarth Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. on February 15, 2025. Seventy-five students and faculty from B.Com, BBA, and M.Com attended the visit, gaining practical insights into the sugar manufacturing process, including crushing, extraction, purification, crystallization, and the role of automation and ERP software. The tour highlighted modern automated machinery, shift management, and ERP systems for production and supply chain monitoring. An interactive session followed, where students actively engaged with their questions. The visit was made possible through the continuous guidance of the Principal and the efforts of faculty, staff, and Mr. Nusrat Pathan, an alumnus of the department.

Psychological Testing Camp Held at Maulana Azad College Aurangabad, 24th February 2025 – The Department of Psychology at Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized a successful Psychological Testing Camp on Monday. The event saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members and aimed to give students hands-on experience with psychological testing, enhancing their practical knowledge and understanding of key psychological theories and assessments. The camp was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmad Farooqui in the presence of Vice Principal Dr. Arif Pathan, Dr. Aditya Bhattacharya, Dr. Musak Razzaq, and Dr. Umesh Khedkar. Their presence added to the significance of the event, underscoring the college’s commitment to providing a holistic education experience. The Department of Biotechnology celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm by organizing a Quiz Competition to promote scientific knowledge and awareness among students.The theme of this year’s quiz was “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for VIKSIT BHARAT” aimed at fostering interest in the field of biotechnology and its global impact. The quiz competition saw active participation of 52 students. The quiz was open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, creating an engaging mix of knowledge and skills among participants. The winners were awarded first, second and third prizes by the hands of Head of the Department of Biotechnology Dr.Reshma Jaweria,on this occasion all the teaching and non teaching staff were present in the department.

National science day celebration in the Dept.of Microbiology covered career opportunities in Microbiology, entrepreneurship development, preparations for QA and QC, new fields of study, pharmacovigilance, pharmaceutical coding, Clinical Data Management, clinical research etc. A quiz on different analytical techniques used in Microbiology was also attempted by our students.

The Department of Zoology, Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Aurangabad, organized the State Level Bio-genius Competition 2024-25 in collaboration with the Zoological Society and Govt. Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities, Amravati. M.S. Dated 5 March 2025. On this occasion, the Course Co-ordinator, Prof. Ramesh Chondekar, (Resource Person) Dr.B.A.M.U.Ch.CN. graced the event with his presence. Principal, Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui, delivered the presidential address and extended his unwavering support and encouragement throughout the event. Prof. Nayab Ansari shared her expertise and provided a detailed explanation of the answer keys for the Bio-Genius competition. A total of 98 participants appeared for the Biogenius Competition from Dr.B.AM.U., S.B.Science College, Govt.College of Arts & Science, Sir Sayyad College, Vasantrao Naik Mahavidyalaya etc. The Organizing Team, comprising Co-ordinator of the event Prof. J.D. Shaikh, Head of the Department of Zoologyand Dr. Tarannum, who was In-charge of the event,worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the event. Dr. Syed Atheruddin Quadri, and Other faculty members, including Dr. Hina, Dr. Sartape, Dr. Naushad, Dr. Dinesh Nalage, Mrs. Tabassum Patel, and Muzaffar Shaikh, also contributed significantly to the event's organization and execution.

We are immensely proud to announce the wonderful performance of our First Year Microbiology students at the National Micrbiolympiad! Competing against 70 colleges nationwide in the first round, our team ( Ms.Ayesha Zareen,Ms.Amena Rida, Ms.Naushaba Ayman) secured an impressive 7th position. The second round, held at the prestigious Government Institute of Science, Aurangabad, saw our team rise to the challenge once again. Against the top most qualifying teams from across India, our students achieved a commendable 6th place! This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and intellectual curiosity of our budding microbiologists. Their diligent attendance at extra lectures and extensive study efforts have yielded good results. The Department of Microbiology extends its heartfelt congratulations to our students for their exceptional performance at the national level. We express our sincere gratitude to our esteemed Principal, Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui Sir, for his unwavering guidance, support, and encouragement, which have been instrumental in fostering the development of the students and staff of the college. We are particularly thankful for his gracious felicitation of the students, recognizing their remarkable achievement.
