Dream big in life- G. Shrikanth Degree Distribution Programme was held in Maulana Azad College on 07th January 2026. The programe started with a procession bearing university flag in the hands of Dr. Arif Pathan Vice Princiapal of the college. the programe begins with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Song followed by the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran, Dr. Aditi Bhattacharya, IQAC, coordinator presented college activity report to the gathering in an in-depth manner. Mr. G. Shrikant, Municipal Commissioner & Administrator, was the Chief Guest of the Programme. Mrs. Pratibha Ingle & Mr. Ankush Pandhare were the guests of honour. Mr. Farhat Jamal, President, Maulana Azad Education Society & Chairman, Maulana Azad Educational Trust graced the occasion as the president of the programme. Principal, Dr. Mazahar Ahmad Farooqui and Mr. Farhat Jamal welcomed the guests . In his address Mr. G. Shrikant focused on vision of the late Dr. Rafiq Zakaria and Late Padma Shri Fatma Zakaria and their efforts in making this wonderful campus. He stressed upon sincere efforts, dedication, updating skills, dreaming big in life, hard work and also asked the graduating students not to stuck in social media. He also cited Mr. Fareed Zakaria’s as an example to who they can follow. Mrs. Pratibha Ingle, Commissioner, Minority Development Department asked the students to be competitive, focused in life, and health conscious. Mr. Ankush Pandhare, Deputy Commissioner, Education Dept. Municipal Corporation CSN, guided the gathering on casting vote in the upcoming election of Municipal Corporation CSN. In his presidential address Mr. Farhat Jamal congratulated Dr. Mazahar Ahmad Farooqui for his efforts infavour of the campus and the process of students. He urged the students to enhance to critical thinking while incorporating the social values and nurturing character. He also guided over the changes in the field of education and asked the students to stay connected as mentors, collaborator and speakers and help the society with their knowledge. He also promised that gates of knowledge will always remain open for them. In this programme Mr. Farhat Jamal felicitated the Principals from the sister institutions while offering plant saplings. The proceeding of the programme was conducted by Dr. Aparna Saraf, Dr. Sadikali Shaikh and Dr. Ashfaque Khan proposed the vote of thanks. In this programme degrees were distributed at the hands of dignitaries. The programme was attended by students, parents, teaching, non-teaching staff and persons from the media. The successful programme ended with National anthem.

Maulana Azad College Naat, Ghazal and Tarana Competition Under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmed Faruqi, the Azadian Group organized a Naat, Ghazal, and Tarana competition at Maulana Azad College. A total prize money of ₹6000 was allocated for this competition. In each category—Naat, Ghazal, and Tarana—the first prize winner received ₹1001 with a memento, the second prize winner received ₹751 with a memento, and the third prize winner received ₹251 with a memento. The Department of English organised an Elocution and Poetry Recitation Competition on 7th Oct 2025 with a kind permission and support of the hon'able Principal, Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui. 202 students attended the event and 23 students took part in the competition.The students gave their speeches on the topics given and recited self- composed poems. Dr. Rajesh S. Shesham, Associate Professor, Department of English, R.B. Attal College, Georai acted as the judge and resource person for the event. The selected students conducted the proceedings of the event and it was coordinated by the Faculty and Dr. Shaikh Kalimoddin Rashid (Head, Department of English). Inauguration of Viewpoint@DCMS The Dept. of Commerce & Management Science inaugurated its wall magazine Viewpoint@DCMS on the theme “Changing Global Tariff Structures: India’s Position and Policy Responses.” Chief Guest Dr. Nandkumar Rathi , Regional Director, YCMOU , CSN Region highlighted how global events influence economies, adding that India’s resilience and opportunistic approach can make this an era of self-reliance.Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui guided the students on the current scenario of international relations and urged them to stay informed about both global and domestic trade developments. Vice Principal Dr. Arif Pathan graced the occasion.Dr. Aparna Saraf, HoD, briefed about the programme. More than 35 students studied the theme in depth, prepared informative posters and presented their perspectives on how shifting global tariffs are reshaping India’s trade and growth opportunities. Their active participation reflected awareness, curiosity, and analytical thinking. The event was convened by Ms. Shazmeen Patel and was successfully organised through the collective efforts of the students and staff of the department.

State-Level Poster Presentation Competition Held at College Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Mazhar Ahmed Farooqui, the Department of Economics organized a State-Level Poster Presentation Competition on “Strengthening Social Order through Scholarship” on 13th October 2025 at Seminar Hall – I. The event began at 11:00 a.m. with Chief Guest Dr. Nandkumar Rathi, Regional Director, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. Principal Dr. Farooqui chaired both the first and second sessions. 50 participants from 228 colleges across Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Nashik, Kolhapur, Manmad, and Ahmednagar, showcased 328 posters. The second session included prize distribution, with 17 trophies and 30 medals awarded. All participants received certificates. > “Students’ creativity has the power to strengthen society,” said Principal Dr. Farooqui during the concluding ceremony. The event concluded at 5:00 p.m. with the National Anthem, leaving students motivated and inspired.
