The Vermicompost Exhibition & Sale Counter was inaugurated by Principal Capt. Dr. Maqdoom Farooqui at Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Farooqui stated that "the use of vermicompost is the need of the hour for sustainable agriculture and environmental protection." He appreciated the efforts of the Department of Zoology in promoting organic manure and creating awareness about eco-friendly agricultural practices. He further added that such practices should be adopted by students for skill and entrepreneurship development . The exhibition displayed quality vermicompost prepared by the Department of Zoology, which was made available for sale at ₹100 per kg. On this occasion, faculty members of the college were present and actively participated in the inauguration programme.
