Student Induction Programme: 27.8.2026 An Induction Programme was organized at Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science & Commerce to acquaint newly admitted students with the various academic, administrative, co-curricular and student-support facilities available at the college. The programme commenced with a Qeerat by Dr. Harshdeep Sartape. Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui welcomed the students and briefed them about the high academic standards nurtured by the founders of the college Late Dr. Rafiq Zakaria and Padmashree Madam Fatma Zakaria. He also encouraged the students to make the most of the opportunities provided by the institution and to actively participate in academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Arif Pathan was also present on the occasion. A total of 174 students participated in the programme. As part of the programme, Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmad Farooqui felicitated Ms. Aleena Muskan Shaikh for securing the highest marks in B.A. Psychology at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The programme included a series of informative sessions covering various aspects of student life and academic development. Dr. J. D. Shaikh delivered a session on IQAC, while Dr. Ashfaque Khan provided information regarding Examination-related activities and procedures. Dr. Aparna Saraf addressed students on Skill Courses, and Dr. Quazi Naweed explained the role and functioning of Statutory Cells. Further sessions focused on Career Counselling by Dr. Mohammad Mukhtar, Scholarships by Ms. Mahejabeen Nisar Sayyed, and Eco-consciousness by Dr. U. K. Asema. Dr. Shaikh Sadikali provided information on Cultural Activities, E-Learning and Avishkar, while Dr. Shaikh Musak Rajjak briefed students about NSS and NCC activities. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Shahela Yasmeen. The program was moderated by Dr. Shaikh Tarannum and Dr. Mujtaba Quadri. The induction programme proved to be a meaningful and enriching beginning to the students’ journey at the institution. Overall, it encouraged students to take ownership of their learning, develop essential skills and approach their academic journey with confidence and curiosity.
