One Day Workshop on B.Sc.T.Y. Zoology based on NEP 2020 Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, August 18 2026 A one-day workshop was jointly organized by the Dept.of Zoology DR B.A.M.U.Chh SN The workshop focused on providing guidance regarding the design and implementation of the Zoology curriculum as per the New Education Policy. The programme also included a felicitation ceremony for Principal Dr. Mazhar Farooqui on the occasion of his retirement, in recognition of his valuable academic and administrative services. The programme was guided by Dr. Bhaskar Sathe, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology; Dr. Sunita Borde, Head, Department of Zoology; and Dr. Gulab Khedkar, Director, IQAC. Extensive deliberations were held throughout the day on various aspects and the academic framework of the new curriculum. Principal Dr. Mazhar Farooqui presided over the programme. In the afternoon session, on behalf of the members of the Board of Studies and all faculty members of Zoology, Principal Dr. Mazhar Farooqui was felicitated with a citation and memento in recognition of his dedicated service and contribution to the academic field. The programme was attended by Dr. J. D. Shaikh, Convener; Dr. Tarannum Shaikh, Secretary; Dr. S. A. Qadri, Treasurer; former Senate member Dr. Laxmikant Shinde; Board members Dr. D. R. Deshmukh and Dr. Vidya Pradhan; Prof. A. B. Padreshi; Prof. Sheikh Feroz; Dr. Ramesh Choundekar; Prof. Nitin Padwal; Prof. Atul Humbe; Prof. B. J. Ugle; Dr. Jitendra Jagtap, and others. On this occasion, the Third Year Zoology textbook prepared in accordance with the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) was also released. Around 110 professors and research students from four districts participated in the workshop. The workshop provided an important platform for academic discussion and exchange of ideas regarding the implementation of the revised Zoology curriculum under NEP 2020.
