The Department of Chemistry, Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in collaboration with the Association of Chemistry Teachers, successfully celebrated the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB) 2026 on 10th February 2026, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui. The event was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of Principal Dr. Mazahar Ahmed Farooqui, who presided over the programme as the President of the event. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, leadership, and active participation in the field of chemistry and scientific research. A major highlight of the programme was the screening of video scripts presented by Research Scholars, which showcased their innovative research ideas and scientific perspectives. The presentations were evaluated by Prof. Aditi Bhattacharya, who provided constructive feedback and encouragement to the participants. The programme was graced by the presence of IQAC Coordinator Prof. J. D. Shaikh. The event also received strong support from the Head of the Department, Prof. Arif Pathan, whose encouragement contributed significantly to the successful organization of the programme. The event was efficiently coordinated by Prof. Prashant Netankar and Prof. Syed Ummul Khair Asema, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth conduct and overall success of the programme. The celebration of IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast 2026 served as a meaningful platform to promote gender equity in science, encourage networking among women chemists, and inspire young researchers toward excellence in chemistry.
