Location: Fruit orchid.

Characters: Small trees, leaves dark green, elliptic oblong, acuminate. Flowers greenish yellow in axillary or leaf opposed fascicles. Fruits subglobose, many celled and many seeded. Seeds smooth black.
 Common in forest, also cultivated in gardens for its fruits.

General use: Fruits are edible. Used in the preparation of juice and jelly. Wood is used as fuel.

Medicinal use: The leaves of the plant in the form of paste is used in skin infection.

Veterinary use: Seed powder or paste is used in sore pain and infection. The powder or paste of the seeds is used for killing lice.
