Location: Infront of Y.B.Chavhan Pharmcy College, Aurangabad.

General use: A large ever green tree with milky juice, branches whorled. Leaves in whorls, dark green and shining above. Flowers greenish white, seeds many with a tuft of hairs at both the ends. Cultivated in gardens.

Medicinal use: The back powder is used in fevers, dyspepsia, debility, skin disease, liver complaints, chronic diarrhoea and dysentery. A poultice of powdered roasted leaves is a local stimulant when applied to ulcers with a foul discharge. The juice of leaves and of fresh ginger is used as a tonic after child birth for women. In bowel complaints three to five grains of the powdered bark are prescribed. The bark is also used as an emmenagogue astringent, galactagogue and anthelmintic.

Veterinary use: Leaves paste is used in wounds and sore trouble. Latex of the bark is used in dysentery. Bark is used in fever anthelmintic and restorative.
